Join Our Team
We don’t hire for hype. We hire for humility, craftsmanship, and the ability to argue passionately about two spaces versus four spaces — then laugh about it over tea. You don’t need a famous portfolio or a decade of experience. You do need to care deeply about the user you’ll never meet. We recruit like we build: small signal, high density. We look for people who ask “why does this need to exist?” before writing the first line of code. If you’ve ever deleted more code than you wrote in a day and felt proud of it, you’ll fit in.
🎯 Open Positions
Find your perfect role in our dynamic team of game developers and creative professionals
Micro-Tool Architect (Full-Stack)
You will design, build, and deploy standalone web-based tools that solve one specific problem exceptionally well — from a markdown-to-plaintext converter to a color contrast analyzer. Each tool must be under 50KB (gzipped), work offline when possible, and degrade gracefully. You’ll own the full lifecycle: backend logic, frontend interface, and performance budgets. Collaboration with the Interface Whisperer is expected, but you’ll also work alone for days — and love it.
🎯 Requirements:
- ✓Deep familiarity with vanilla JavaScript (no frameworks unless strictly justified)
- ✓Experience with at least one lightweight backend language (Node.js, Go, or Python)
- ✓Obsessive about bundle size, load time, and memory usage
- ✓Can write a README that’s actually readable
- ✓Portfolio showing 3+ small tools you built for yourself (they don’t need to be famous)
- ✓Believes that “done is better than perfect, but thoughtful is better than fast”
Logic Gardener (Backend Specialist)
You will tend to the small backend services that power our tools — things like API rate limiters, anonymous usage aggregators (no tracking), and scheduled data purges. Your code will be minimal, test-covered, and documented as if someone’s first day depends on it. You’ll also design stateless systems that can run on a potato and still respond in under 80ms. No microservices unless absolutely necessary; we prefer macro-thought with micro-footprint.
🎯 Requirements:
- ✓Strong command of Python or Go (Rust is a bonus, not a requirement)
- ✓Experience with SQLite or PostgreSQL (we avoid heavy ORMs)
- ✓Knows what “idempotent” means and uses it correctly in conversations
- ✓Can explain why caching is sometimes worse than nothing
- ✓Has strong opinions about logging (we like quiet logs)
- ✓Willing to write unit tests for edge cases like “what if the user clicks this button 1,000 times”
Silence Engineer (Performance & Accessibility)
Your mission: make our software feel silent — not in sound, but in friction. You’ll audit every interaction for lag, focus traps, screen reader confusion, and cognitive load. You write tests for keyboard navigation, monitor frame drops, and ensure that someone using a 7-year-old device or assistive technology has the same quiet experience as anyone else. You are part detective, part advocate for the invisible user.
🎯 Requirements:
- ✓Deep understanding of browser rendering pipelines and Web Vitals
- ✓Experience with automated accessibility testing (axe, Lighthouse) and manual screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver, or TalkBack)
- ✓Can diagnose a repaint bottleneck with DevTools closed (mostly joking — but close)
- ✓Comfortable writing performance budgets into CI pipelines
- ✓Knows WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines by heart, not by bookmark
- ✓Patient, curious, and willing to say “this button is 40ms too slow — let’s rethink it”
